It’s been a while and time for a new post. I want to share with you a strange experience that others ought to know about.

I’ve been finding myself getting lost in thought quite often. I’m not complaining but when it comes to staying focuses and on task, this can become an issue. I always find my way back but sometimes it’s more difficult than others. I think this is due to a few factors:

Hunger:

This is something that can’t be overlooked. Hunger has been known to stop armies in their tracks. If you’re like me, you have a hard time eating when you’re supposed to. I often get too busy that I simply forget about eating, which is crazy because it’s the most important thing we all do, day in and day out.

Sleep:

Sleep is critical, this is something I’m pretty good with but sometimes there are exceptions. I ALWAYS strive for 8 hours, although sometimes I come up short..

If you’re not getting 8 hours of sleep, you’re doing your body a disservice. Even if you tell yourself “oh I’m fine with 5 or 6”, “my body doesn’t need 8”. Trust me.. IT DOES.

Water:

This one is self explanatory, drink more water or it will drink you. Ever since I’ve increased my water intake, everything has improved. EVERYTHING.

Recap:

These three factors alone will improve focus, productivity, you name it. If you’re missing out on even one of these, you’re severely hindering what your performance could be. I highly recommend taking a step back and giving yourself and honest review, where could you improve? Maybe you need more sleep? Maybe you need to eat more like myself? Maybe you need ALL THREE.

Whatever it is, these changes will change your life.
